The Grand Rapids Public Museum's Collections Department is seeking a Native intern for the fall. The Intern will engage in experiential learning related to the (Norton) Mounds, the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), and the GRPM’s educational programs, exhibits, and Collections, especially those related to the Anishinabek: The People of this Place exhibit. The internship will last approximately 12 weeks, and we are offering a stipend of $4,000. Much of the work can be done remotely, but there will be times that the intern would need to be on site, so this may be a good opportunity for students that are within 45 minutes to an hour from Grand Rapids. More information, including how to apply can be found on the museum's website: https://www.grpm.org/internships/.
