Quick Access

2021 PedestrianSafety Social Wk3Vehicles provide crash protection to their occupants through well-designed vehicle structures and lifesaving technologies, such as seat belts and air bags. They can also help prevent crashes from occurring through the use of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), such as automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning and lane departure warning. Vehicles can also help provide protection to pedestrians and other vulnerable road users outside of the vehicle through pedestrian automatic braking, rear backup cameras, pedestrian-friendly front structures, and better headlights for identifying pedestrians and other road users during inclement weather, low light conditions, or at night.
