2021 PedestrianSafety Social Wk2October is Pedestrian Safety Month. This week’s theme recognizes the importance of how motorists reducing their speeds can save lives and prevent serious injuries in three ways: reducing impact forces, providing additional stopping time and distance, and improving visibility. Pedestrians are unlikely to survive high-speed crashes. (FHWA, 2020).
