SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. —A regular meeting of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Board of Directors will be held at Sault Ste. Marie Kewadin Casino starting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16. The meeting will be preceded by “Matters Raised by the Membership” from 4 to 5 p.m.

Resolutions on the agenda are 10 Request Reservation Status resolutions; three Trust Land Status resolutions; HUD-IHBG Program; LIHEAP; Community Service Block Grant; Behavioral Health Record Elimination; Comprehensive Classification/ Compensation Project Award; White Pine Lodge Loan; and Authorization to Execute Irrevocable Letter of Credit No: 4. Budget modification resolutions are: Facilities-Internal R&M; Lake Whitefish Recruitment; Trust Land Resource Management; Elder Division-Eldercare Services; ACFS-USDA; ACFS-Elder Heating Assistance; ACFS-Emergency Assistance; ACFS-Employee Assistance; Health-Manistique Dental; SAMHSA STOPR; IHS Aftercare; IHS Aftercare-Clinical Social Workers; Residential Treatment/ Transportation Assistance; DeMawating Development-Riverside Park; White Pine-Administration, C-Store and Hotel; and White Pine Capital Expenditures.

Under New Business, the board will consider Relinquishments, Committee Request, Compact Negotiations Check Points, Declaring Unit I Position Vacant, Constitutional Appointment to Fill Unit 1 Vacancy, Appointment of Next Highest Vote Earner from 2018 Election, and Board Concerns.
