Quick Access

Sault Tribe members and team members are able to receive critical public safety messages through a community notification system designed to provide real-time information via texting and e-mail. Nixle, a mass communication system, is used to share alerts for emergency situations and other important events. These alerts can be targeted geographically or they can be dispersed across the service area. Nixle is free, reliable, secure, and easy to use!

Nixle will be used to send out any alerts to those who have opted in to using it. Some examples of these alerts are: weather warnings, building closures, cancelled events, and emergencies affecting your community.

You can sign up for Nixle by texting the keyword “SAULTTRIBE” to 888777, or by going to https://local.nixle.com/register/.

If you have any questions, please contact Jami Traver in Emergency Preparedness at 632-5200, ext. 43670.
