SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. —A regular meeting of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Board of Directors will be held at Kewadin Casino starting at 5 p.m. on Oct. 2. The meeting will be preceded by “Matters Raised by the Membership” from 4 to 5 p.m.

Resolutions on the agenda are, Budgets: Public Safety Juvenile Detention, Environmental – GLRI Capacity, Education – Child Care Center, Elderly – Title VI, DeMawating – Cap Ex. and MEDC Grant – American Café; Acceptance of Gov’t Audit Proposal; Authorization to Transfer MBank Stock to Land Claims Fund; National Congress of American Indians; Trust Land – Chippewa County (3); Trust Land Lease – Lamar Company (2); and Authorizing 2020 Negotiating Team.

Under New Business, the board will consider a Conservation Committee request and Board Concerns.

October 2 Meeting Resolutions
