SAULT STE. MARIE—A special meeting of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Board of Directors will be held Monday, July 9, at 5:30 p.m. at the Sault Kewadin Casino Grand Ballroom for the nomination of officers.
The Sault Tribe election contest period ended with no contests. The oath of office is scheduled for 5 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom, after which the board will convene the special meeting for the nomination of officers. A reception will follow in the Grand Ballroom for family and friends to celebrate the 2018 Board of Directors elections.
