2022/2023 Scholarship Application Deadline
Extended to July 16, 2022

You do not need to meet a quarter blood quantum in order to apply for the Higher Education Scholarships. Not all of the Higher Education Scholarships have this requirement.

All applications must include the following information:

• Higher Education Scholarship Application (located at link below)
• Copy of student’s current tribal card
• IRS W-9 form
• If you have quarter blood quantum, to be eligible for those scholarships which require quarter blood quantum, include verification from Sault Tribe Enrollment Department. (Not all Higher Education Scholarships have this requirement.)
• Essay – “Why is Education Important?”
• Verification of Post-Secondary Institution attendance (current transcripts – must be legible, pdf version of official/unofficial transcript copies must be submitted to verify attendance terms, course, GPA, and grades)
OR Verification of College/University acceptance (submission of acceptance letter)

If submitting pictures of documents, please ensure that documents are legible and clear of all background items. All documents submitted for verification must include student’s name and college/university contact information.


• Electronic applications are due no later than 11:59 p.m. on July 16, 2022.

• Applications submitted using U.S. Mail or comparable delivery service must be postmarked no later than July 16, 2022.

• No late or incomplete applications will be accepted!
