Sault Tribe offering COVID-19 vaccine booster shots

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. —Per the recommendation of the CDC, COVID-19 vaccine booster shots will be available through Sault Tribe hosted COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics. At this time, booster shots are recommended for immunocompromised patients along with those who live with or are in regular contact with them.

All vaccinations are open to the public. If you are interested in getting a booster shot, please go online to register at www.saulttribehealth.com or call 906‑632‑5200. Please look on your vaccination card to determine which vaccine you received and schedule your booster with the same vaccine, as cross vaccinations are not recommended at this time

Registering youth for COVID-19 vaccine

In anticipation of upcoming Emergency Use Authorization from the Food and Drug Administration on COVID-19 vaccines for youth ages 12-15, the Sault Tribe Health Division is opening electronic registration for this age group beginning May 5. Although vaccination for 12- to 15-year olds will not yet be available, the information obtained through registration will help determine the level of interest in a COVID-19 vaccination for youth and assist in planning future mass vaccination events. Please visit saulttribehealth.com to register your youth.
