Regalia workshops
Workshops on making regalia, June 11 through Aug. 6, at McCann School in St. Ignace for Sault Tribe members.
 
Making girls, boys, women’s and men’s fancy, traditional,  and grass style regalia. Limited to 15 participants on a first come/first served basis. Unit III given priority for these workshops. All participants must either know how to sew or have an adult who knows how to sew clothing attend with them.
 
June 11 and June 12: Initial meetings - 5:30-7:30 p.m. your choice of evening to attend. Select colors, designs, and measurements taken.
 
June 18‑20: Shawls and Skirts - 9 a.m.-3 p.m. open to everyone, stop by if you would like to learn and are not enrolled in this workshop at any time. If not enrolled you will need you own supplies.
 
June 25‑27: Ribbon Shirts - 9 a.m.-3 p.m.  open to everyone, stop by if you would like to learn and are not enrolled in this workshop at any time. If not enrolled you will need you own supplies.
 
July 8‑9: Yokes - 9 a.m.-3 p.m. open to everyone, stop by if you would like to learn and are not enrolled in this workshop at any time. If not enrolled you will need you own supplies.
 
July 15‑16: Leggings - 9 a.m.-3 p.m. open to everyone, stop by if you would like to learn and are not enrolled in this workshop at any time. If not enrolled you will need you own supplies.
 
July 22‑23: Moccasin Tops - 9 a.m.-3 p.m. open to everyone, stop by if you would like to learn and are not enrolled in this workshop at any time. If not enrolled you will need you own supplies.
 
July 29‑30: Tobacco Bags and Chokers - 9 a.m.-3 p.m. open to everyone, stop by if you would like to learn and are not enrolled in this workshop at any time. If not enrolled you will need you own supplies.
 
Aug. 5‑6: Fans and Finishing - 9 a.m.-3 p.m. open to everyone, stop by if you would like to learn and are not enrolled in this workshop at any time. If not enrolled you will need you own supplies.
