The Sault Tribe Board of Directors will hold a regular meeting at the Kewadin Casino and Convention Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., on March 3 beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Resolutions on the agenda are: Golf Scholarship Fund; Administration for Native Americans (ANA) Native language preservation and maintenance planning grant FY 2009 – 2010; Waiver of Sovereign Immunity – Travelers Insurance; FY 2009 Referendum Budget Modification; FY 2009 Home Improvement Budget Modification; FY 2009 Traditional Healthy Environments Budget Modification; FY 2009 Purchasing Budget Modification; Amending Bylaws Elder Advisory Committee and Subcommittee Bylaws; Amending Elder Health Care Fund; Amending Funeral Fund; Amending Higher Education Incentive Awards Fund; Business/Strategic Plan Requirements; Adopting Ch. 15: Freedom of Information Ordinance; Establishing a New Economic Development Department; Amending Ch. 14: Permitting Video Conferencing; and Establishing a Treaty Rights Subcommittee.

Under new business, the board will consider committee resignations and appointments; a Conservation Committee request; and relinquishments.
