SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. —A regular meeting of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Board of Directors will be held at Kewadin Casino starting at 6 p.m. on May 2. The meeting will be preceded by “Matters Raised by the Membership” from 4 to 6 p.m.

Resolutions on the agenda are: Under Budget: Ed -Farm to School Grant, ED – YEA and  Inland Fish and Wildlife and Secretive Marshbirds; MI Elders Association Delegate Appointment, MI Elders Association Alternate Delegate Appointment, Trust Land Status Chippewa County (2), EUP Community Development Mini Grant, Accepting Donation of Land, Purchase of Parcels (2), Am. Ch. 20: Co-Captain Regulations, Am. Ch. 21: Bear Dens, 2 Percent Agreement-St. Ignace, Loan to Finance Construction of Middle School JKL Expansion and Construction Contract for Middle School Expansion-JKL.

Under New Business, the board will consider Committee Requests, Enrollment-Relinquishments, Head Start Request, Organization Chart and Board Concerns.
