The Chippewa County Michigan Department of Health and Human Services presents trauma informed community training with Dr. Mark Sloane and Corrie Reil Erickson on Thursday, May 4, at the Calvary Baptist Church at 2301 Young Street in Sault Ste. Marie.

Schedule: Registration from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. 9 a.m. To 11:30 a.m., Dr. Sloane and Ms. Erickson on secondary traumatic stress for those who work with and care for traumatized children. 11:30 a.m. To 1:15 p.m., Lunch break (lunch not provided). 1:15 p.m. To 3:30 p.m., Dr. Sloane on the impact of trauma to the brain and adverse childhood experiences.

No cost to attend, seating limited to 100.
