SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. —A regular meeting of the Sault Tribe Board of Directors will be held at the Kinross Recreation Center starting at 6 p.m. on April 4. The meeting will be preceded by “Matters Raised by the Membership” from 4 to 6 p.m.

Resolutions on the agenda are Higher Education and Education Administration FY 2017 Budget Modifications and Request to Establish FY 2017 Budget Administration-Executive Office; GLRI Wildlife Projects GLRI Wildlife Projects Establishment of 2017 Budget; under FY 2017 Budget Modifications are Education-Youth Education & Activities, Health Center-Emergency Preparedness, Health and Wellness in Indian Country, Partnership to Improve Community Health, Sault Tribe Construction-Prevailing Wage, Sault Tribe Construction #1 and Sault Tribe Construction #2; Head Start/Early Head Start Grant, BIA OTJS One-Time Funding Confirmation; Opposition to Proposed Back Forty Mine Project; and Amending Ch. 71: Criminal Offenses.

Under New Business are committee requests and board concerns.
