Honoring Our Waters and Her Protectors powwowKajipiitendanaa Biish Zkamikwe Enaadowendang - Honoring Our Waters and Her Protectors - powwow and round dance is scheduled for March 11-12 at the Kewadin Shores Event Center, 3015 Mackinac Trail, in St. Ignace. Public welcome.

Saturday, March 11, grand entry at noon, dinner break at 5 p.m., and round dance at 7 p.m.

Sunday, March 12, grand entry at 1 p.m. and giveaway at 4 p.m.

Host drum to be announced; head ogitchidaa, George Martin; head male dancer, Marcus Winchester; head female dancer, Elizabeth Pigeon; co-emcees, Joe Medicine and Josh Homminga; arena director and stick man, Darrell Kingbird.

We call to all jingle dress dancers to come and dance for the healing of our waters.
