The Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) is Title I of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006. SORNA is a set of mandatory minimum standards for all jurisdictions, including federally-recognized tribes in the United States. It was enacted to help close some jurisdictional loopholes and to strengthen the nationwide network of sex offender registration and notification programs.

Sault Tribe Law Enforcement has listed a number of websites that contain information on SORNA, Michigan’s public registry, Federal Registry, inmate information and other information to help keep the public safe.
